When I tried to learn morse code I found it to be very difficult. The traditional way is to study a chart and memorize each combination of "dit"s and "dah"s. I wanted to create a new online tool that would be enjoyable so that I could quickly learn morse code. Instead of memorizing charts I'm relying on repetition and actually hearing the sounds. Someone who has studied morse code before might say that this isn't the "correct" way to learn or that it doesn't teach perfect timing, but that wasn't the point. It's suppose to be fun and easy, that's it.
I want morsecode.io to remain free for everyone. That's why you can learn A-Z using the interactive tool. But maintaining the site cost money. So people who want to take their skills to the next level can get a membership for $8.00. This will go towards keeping the site up, more advanced lessons, and a chat program so you can practice morse code with other members (coming soon).
I would love to hear your feedback. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
